This was the first and only game that Bomberman and Wario were in the same game. It was setup like the traditional Bomberman game but with a twist. You could choose to play as either Bomberman or Wario. In 1-player mode you had to face a computer, then fight two computers, then fight three computers, then finally a Boss. That was considered a World. After you complete a World you are given a ability.

The abilities in this game are bigger bomb explosions, laying more bombs at once, jumping non breakable blocks, running, and tackling. There is no difference between playing as Wario or Bomberman and the Bosses as still the same. This game is great to for awhile because it has a lot of replay value. It was one of the better Original Gameboy games.

Bomberman's story from Nintendo is that he is Bomb making employee and is the best bomb maker ever. He hates his job and wants to leave really bad but can't. He hears rumor that if anyone makes it from the underground they can make a wish for anything. Bomberman escapes the factory and the only thing standing in his way is the Factories security guards. Bomberman who was a robot at the time used the wish to become a human Bomberman.

Wario on the other hand is the rival of Mario and will do whatever to stand in Mario's way. In Wario Blast he stumbles upon Bomberman's World and does the only thing he knows how to do. He decided to steal from Bomberman's World. Bomberman decides to fight Wario the best way he knows.

For anyone deciding to play this old school Gameboy game enjoy and have fun.
